How to Acquire Healthy Lifestyle Routine Within a Week

The most important meal of the day is breakfast. I’ve heard that so many times from people around me. I’ve visited many countries, tried different types of food, and I still agree on that one. Before I realized how important breakfast is, and how crucial it is for our health and lifestyle, I used to skip breakfast because I was either lazy, or I didn’t know what to eat in the morning. 5 years ago, I traveled to Greece, to a town named Mykonos, the time zone was different, so it was really early and I was awake. I started searching through the kitchen, when a man knocked on my door. His name was Nicolas and he was the owner of the apartments we were staying in. He welcomed us, and offered us to have a breakfast at his and his wives apartment. He later told us that people in Greece love to cook for their guests and to share ideas and experiences. We had a slice of famous Greek feta cheese, scrambled eggs, and freshly squeezed orange juice. He told us that “The breakfast is the meal of the champions” and that we have to prepare it with love and patience. In Greece, they believe that if you start a day with a good breakfast, you are set for the day. He gave us a book with recipes, and I still have it and prepare my breakfast by the book. Most people nowadays don’t have time to prepare it, so they just skip it. It was hard for me to get used to it at the beginning, but now, I can’t start a day without it. I would love to help people to acquire it as a habit, so I will post my breakfast list for this upcoming week. Feel free to join me, take a pen and paper, and make this a little challenge for you. After the first week, your body will get used to it, and you’ll be feeling hungry every morning you wake up.


Breakfast challenge, 1/21/19-1/27/19:


  • Monday: “Berry and Yogurt Smoothie”- Blend frozen food of your choice, I usually blend bananas and berries, add Greek yogurt that you can find in any grocery store, and you can add a little bit of milk. This one is my favorite because it is cold and refreshing.


  • Tuesday: Avocado Toast with Egg- Put the bread in the toaster, add avocado on it, and add sunny side up egg. You won’t spend a lot of time on making it, and you won’t be feeling hungry until it’s time for lunch.


  • Wednesday: “Green Mango Smoothie”: Add spinach or kale, add mango, ¼ cup of yogurt, 1 cup of water, and fresh ginger.


  • Thursday:”Banana Baby”: Add one large frozen banana, 7 almonds, half a cup of soy milk, and one teaspoon of honey. Add a little bit of cinnamon as an energy booster.


  • Friday: Smoothie: “Incredible Hulk”: 1 whole cucumber, 1 stalk of celery, baby spinach, lemon, and 8 ounces of water.


  • Saturday: “Organic Saturday”: Add 2 carrots, 2 apples, beetroot and kale. This smoothie is also known as “Heart beat”.


  • Sunday: “I Woke Up in Greece”: Scrambled eggs, Feta cheese and freshly squeezed orange juice.

There you go guys, try to win this challenge because the reward is priceless. Your body will get used to getting food in the morning, and your life will change. Try it, we promise you’ll enjoy it!
